Your month on pay as you go.
At this many calls, Enterprise costs less past about 4,300 active customers.
Dot’s usage past $5 of model cost is billed on top, at cost plus 20%. Prices in USD, before tax.
No surprises on the invoice.
- Active customer
- A live customer with at least one governed call this month. Each counts once, however many calls it makes.
- Governed call

- Test mode
- Never counts. Test customers and their usage are never billed.
- Dot usage
- What Dot’s models cost to work on your requests, at cost plus 20%. Pay as you go includes the first $5 each month.
- Budget alert
- An email at 80% and 100% of a monthly budget you set ($1,000 to start). Nothing pauses, and your customers never notice.
- Billing
- Pay as you go is billed to your card at the end of each month. Enterprise is invoiced by contract.

No. Free needs no card. You add one in the app when you move to pay as you go.
Free includes $1 of Dot usage, once, to try it. In that time Dot can write your policy and test it on made-up customers. When it’s used, Dot asks you to upgrade before its next turn.
Your policy, drafts, and conversations stay, and the editor and validation keep working on Free.
No. Pay as you go charges for the customers and calls Limitr governs, not a percentage of what you bill. Some teams use Limitr only to control usage and never bill through it, and the price is the same.
When you sell custom contracts (negotiated rates, per-customer prices, pricing rules for a segment), when you want Dot forecasting usage and margin or drafting contracts, when your volume makes included usage cheaper than paying per customer and call, or when you want our team working with yours on pricing, usage control, and margin.
Enterprise is an annual contract, invoiced, and never limited by usage.
They may, as we learn what works for teams like yours. Any change comes with 30 days’ notice by email, and never applies to a month you’ve already used.
Yes, in the app. Your policy, drafts, and customers stay. Usage so far that month is still billed.
Yes, permanently. Run it self-hosted with the policy in your own repo. Moving to Limitr Cloud is a one-line change.
Not on customers or calls. The monthly budget alert tells you when a bill grows past what you expected, without pausing anything, and you can change the budget any time.
Dot has a monthly ceiling on model cost per workspace and per person, so a runaway conversation can’t run up a bill. Email support@limitr.dev to raise it.
